Simulators not auto downloading and installing.

Running the latest everything, but I find even though I have auto download and install updates to simulators set... it’s not happening.

Is there something else I need to set?

Tried this?


- Click on the project name (to the right of the Run button). Three options should appear:

Edit scheme/New scheme/Manage scheme

- Select "New scheme" and then confirm via Ok in the popup window.


Is the list of sims visible then?


Still no joy...

  • Did you install Xcode 10.1 to /Applications, without renaming it? Does your boot drive have minimum several tens GB free space?
  • Do you have more than one version Xcode installed? Is your Xcode already a franken-install with wedged components from other versions?
  • Have you waited for additional downloads to complete?
