What in Beta 4 killed 3rd party screensavers?

Anyone found what changed or got an example screensaver that works?


Everything I run seems to get the "You cannot run the screen saver with this version of macOS" message.

Things are better in b4 actually for 3rd party screen savers:


- the thumbnail is correctly displayed.

- the configuration sheet is available.


But somehow when you click on the Preview button, the screen saver is drawn with the menu bar and if you move the mouse the animation stops. And you can only exit by quitting System Preferences.app.


So it's still broken but it's a bit less broken.

I'm running macOS 10.14 beta 9 and the screensaver "Aerial" is working again. It hasn't worked for many of the betas previous.
