Mojave 10.14 Beta Black screen

I'm running Mojave version 10.14 Beta (18A326g) on a 2017 macbook pro with touch bar. I was working on Xcode and suddenly the screen turned into black. I can use the macbook on a diffrent screen fine. I'm not sure if it's a software or hardware problem. I can change the brightness up and down and can see the screen changes the brightness but still black. I tried trouble shoting methods like resetting prom, vrom, smc etc.. I tried to go to disk utility to re-install the OS but the screen connected to the macbook doesn't show the utility window. Any suggesions are appreciated.
