I initially installed 10.15 on an external APFS (encrytped) drive using that as the boot volume. That worked fine. With the external dirve still attached, I installed the latest beta of 10.15 onto the internal drive and set that as the boot drive. When I boot from the internal drive, I can not access the external drive. It now doesn't accept the external drive's password while the Mac is booted from the internal dirve. If I boot from the external drive, the password to decrypt the drive works. Why? Is there a private key on the external drive that the internal doesn't have access to? Is there a way for me to get the internal boot drive to decrypt the external one?
