I keep getting the error "Timed out waiting for the simulator application for iphonesimulator to become ready". How do I fix it?

The simulator is not an emulator.
Assuming your mac has much more that 8GB ram and 75GB free space on the boot drive, start the simulator first, then when it's done, build from Xcode. Assumes Xcode 11.3.1
