Xcode devices and simulators page says iPhone 11 is "Model iPhone 4"

The new XCode 11.2 Beta, on its Devices & Simulators page, says that my connected iPhone 11 is a "Model iPhone 4."

Anyone else see this. Is there a way to change the "Model" in XCode?

I'm not aware of a means to hack device model, but what you're seeing sounds like a bug in the beta.


Is that iphone 11 a registered device in the Member Center?


Was it reported correctly in the release version of Xcode 11?
