phil.holland Jan 25, 2018 7:51 AM (in response to behemoth1969)Yes, the same. Equally the same situation in the iOS 11.3 beta. This might point to some pending larger upstream update.

toinewx Jan 26, 2018 12:15 PM (in response to behemoth1969)Dictionary is broken, this is not beta this is alpha, I'm gonna stop updating to beta if Apple simply breaks apps

Re: Missing dictionaries for Dictionary app in 10.13.4 beta (17E139j)
Sh7ne Jan 29, 2018 12:06 AM (in response to behemoth1969)Same here. Try deleting the playlist under library as some tutorial but still won't work. Only left with the wikipedia in config. The first click won't show up with anything but tell you the local dict is missing and the second click can sometimes bring the siri knowlege and the other tabs back.

Re: Missing dictionaries for Dictionary app in 10.13.4 beta (17E139j)
codex Jan 30, 2018 6:37 AM (in response to behemoth1969)Same for me; this is a real bummer since I was using that dictionary dozens of times a day. It was quick, efficient, and I believe it used the reliable New Oxford American Dictionary. Their website is complete garbage.
Also: clicking on any links in the dictionary now just opens a tab in your browser, which is super irritating. What's the point of using the dictionary if it just routes you to wikipedia's website?

Vingt-Cent Feb 2, 2018 9:52 AM (in response to mallen6)Doesn't work for me either.
I’m amazed at the number of people who chimed in on this issue. I was expecting the number of people using the dictionary to not exceed a dozen at most.
I was wrong

Re: Missing dictionaries for Dictionary app in 10.13.4 beta (17E139j)
KMT Feb 2, 2018 9:56 AM (in response to Vingt-Cent)Sounds like your expectations for the number of devs that actually install betas to test and exercise, vs. just to brag over in study hall, are pretty low - I'm encouraged.
