Watch says it's connected to iPhone, but can't get notifications or update any info from the watch

Hi All,

This just started over the weekend - been using both iOS 11.3 and watchOS 4.3 since they were available without issue. I've rebooted both devices, but still no communication. The iPhone can see the watch attached, and the Watch shows the green "phone" icon so it thinks it's attached.. but i can't ping the iphone from watch, no apps will update their info, i get no notifications - even the alarm doesn't go off on the watch. So weird. Any ideas?

Hi,


We had the same problem and it was been solved by erasing all content and settings of apple watch:

  1. Open the “Settings” app on the Apple Watch and go to “General”
  2. Scroll down and choose “Reset”
  3. Tap on “Erase All Content and Settings”
  4. Enter the passcode for the Apple Watch
  5. Scroll down and confirm you wish to reset the Apple Watch and erase all data from the device
