Right. Our developer documentation tends to focus on APIs. Information about the on-the-wire behaviour of our systems tends to be covered by user- or enterprise-facing Apple documentation, or public standards.

On the developer side of things, the only significant API in this space is Hotspot helper, and it’s only relevant if your captive network is not covered effectively by the built-in support.
