Third party music apps crashing when trying to open them

I am having some serious issues with all of my music apps on the latest beta of iPadOS 18.3. when I try to open them , the splash page pops open , freezes then crashes. i can open Logic Pro and it opens fine, but if I try to open a project with any of my third party music apps in that project, Logic gives me an error message stating that it can’t access coremidi. It gives me the option to continue and then proceeds to play the project without issue, with all of the third party apps functioning within Logic. If I try to open a third party program outside of Logic ( that just played in Logic) the 3rd party app crashes. Anyone else having issues with their 3rd party music apps? I have never had so many apps in a particular genre that just wouldn’t function in any of the recent betas.

Hello @Sibelinof, thank you for your post. Our engineering teams need to investigate this issue, as resolution may involve changes to Apple's software. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could open a bug report, include a sysdiagnose, and post the FB number here once you do. Bug Reporting: How and Why? has tips on creating your bug report.

I'm having same issues since 18.3 and today on 18.3 update 2 on M4 iPad, audio apps, like Korg M1 and Sunrizer just open up but then are frozen, then it affects other working audio apps and have to restart iPad to get them back. Same apps on iPhone 15 Pro Max on iOS 18.3 are not effected, seems to be iPad OS issue

Hello,

I am developer of Piano Chords and Scales app and my app is now hanging as well on launch (hangs, without crash).

Its seems accessing MIDINetworkSession.default() causes the hand on main thread and app becomes unresponsive.

Hi. Just chiming in to confirm the issue. I have a brand new M4 iPad Pro. Very few music apps launch. I've reinstalled the beta and non beta versions of ipadOS with no difference. Logic and some Korg apps and a few others will launch, but 90%+ do not. Moreover, some apps would launch after a wipe and reinstall whereas before they wouldn’t. In fact the first few apps launched after a reinstall will open and function, but by the 3rd or 4th app launch, the behavior described in earlier posts would occur. After that, nothing music related worked. Restarts of the iPad did not help.
