I am using iOS 18.1 on an iPhone 16 Pro. Although I am using a SanDisk external hard drive, the iPhone’s Files app is not recognizing the drive properly, and video files are not playing well. The same occurred with me (i'm using an iPhone 15 Pro and my SanDisk external drive works well with my MacBook).
