When is a fix coming? CarPlay is just a black screen whether cable or Bluetooth connected. Even before 18, connecting was troublesome, often taking 3 or 4 attempts. I’m seriously considering buying an android phone just to leave in the car - research indicates there virtually never issues with it and VAG infotainment.

ps. From my personal experience ~ if you're using CarPlay with an older car radio, after verifying you're using a good data cable, check with the radio manufacturer to see if they have any firmware updates available.
My Carplay is not working in either of my Audi's ('22 and '24) now that I updated to 18.0.1. My IPhone 12 is connecting to the AUDI MMI interface and Bluetooth but the MMI is not showing showing as a connected device when I try and use CarPlay. I can stream Amazon Music via my phone and make/receive calls as "IPhone1" is connected, but no CarPlay. Re-pairing, etc. does not fix. The 2024 is brand new and both were working fine previously, automatically starting when I got in the car. Help!
