Try pressing/releasing the Mac keyboard's option key. Then try again.
I'm sorry to hear that you're encountering issues with the touchscreen not working in the iOS 15.0 Simulator. A few potential fixes for this problem are as follows:
Restart the Simulator: Sometimes, the simplest solution can resolve the problem. Please close the current simulator window and then relaunch it from the Components tab.
Reset the Simulator Content and Settings: To do this, go to iOS Simulator > Debug > Reset Content and Settings for the affected simulator. This will erase all temporary data and settings, reverting it to its factory state.
Check for MacOS Updates: Make sure your Mac is running the latest version of macOS. Sometimes, simulator issues can be resolved by updating your operating system. Go to the Apple Menu > System Preferences > Software Update.
Restart the Mac: Although this solution is a bit more obvious, it has been reported to work in some instances.
Reinstall Xcode: If the problem persists, consider reinstalling Xcode. Uninstall it from your Applications folder, then download the latest version from the App Store.
After trying any of these steps, please let me know if you encounter any issues or if the touchscreen problem is resolved.
