The visionOS simulator in Xcode 15.1 beta allows 3D models to be dark.

Question

Feedback has been received, but when viewing Model3D, Entity, Model Entity, and AR Quick Look in the latest visionOS simulator, they appear dimmed.

Hi, this is a known issue which we are working to fix. You might be able to workaround it by restarting Xcode or the simulator.

Any updates on this? I have to restart the simulator quite often to make the models appear right. Sometimes, they are dark "forever".
