macOS 14 beta 6 (Sonoma) "There was an error connecting to the Apple ID Server"

I updated to macOS 14 beta 6 and now I'm unable to access any Apple ID related services

I can't even log in to the Feedback Assistant app to report this.

Musc, Messages and AppleTV can't be logged into either.

I can't add my Apple ID to Xcode 15 Beta either

I managed to find a workaround and logged it using Feedback Assistant FB13040856

Workaround:

  • Turned off my firewall.

Doing this solved the issue of not being able to go to the iCloud section of my Apple ID in System settings. From there:

  • Turned off Private Relay

Restarted my Mac and logged into Music, which did go through successfully. I can add my Apple ID to Xcode and my devices are showing up in System Settings and Find My.
