I used a web browser to upload the image. I used to be able to read GPS data from uploaded images, but recent iOS doesn't let me do that. I have a feeling that the GPS data is being stripped when uploading from the Photos app. Is there a way to upload from a web browser without deleting the GPS data?
Hi, when uploading a picture to safari on iOS, the user can able or disable GPS data in the bottom left corner, by tapping the “Options” button. (iOS 17) From what I remember, this is not new to iOS 17.
