Xcode 14.2 sometimes could not launch simulator

After upgrading Xcode to 14.2, when running or testing the project, sometimes I get this error: "Could not launch Simulator.app."

System Information

macOS Version 13.1 (Build 22C65)
Xcode 14.2 (21534) (Build 14C18)

For running the app, restarting the simulator fixes the problem, but soon it will happen again, so I have to keep restarting the simulator all the time. For unit tests, restarting the simulator also doesn't fix the problem, and this error shows up after a long time out.

Is anyone else seeing the same issue?

Half of my team is also having this issue. We have tried a few things to clean this up but it keeps coming back.

Troubleshooting attempts

  • Restart computer daily - helps to lower the frequency but doesn't clear the problem
  • Quit all simulator related applications in activity monitor and run 'xcrun simctl erase all' - helps to lower the frequency but doesn't clear the problem
  • Deleted and reinstalled xcode, cleared up the problem for about a day then it came back

Any other ideas?

We have a number of developers facing this same issue. Currently have to kill the simulator and Xcode and restart them. Problem reoccurs pretty quickly and repeatedly. Extremely disruptive. Has anyone solved the issue?
