We have observed that some of the images in a website is not loading properly in newly launched ios 16 and 16.1 simulators, It is working fine on ios 15.5 and lower simulator and on desktop browser as well. We have tried loading site in browsers other that safari but still the issue persist. Is there any workaround for it ?

I have the same problem. Images on our website are only displayed with a question mark in Safari & WKWebView. Has anyone found a solution?

This problem appears to be related to the AVIF file format, which cannot be displayed by the simulator. https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/722994
I just added an iOS 15.5 build to the simulators, the web pages load fine here. Just one more thing broken in 16
