Is Macbook Pro 2020 intel i5 8gb good for mobile programming? (X-Code and Android Studio)

Hello friend. I also bought a newer macbook pro. My aim is mobile application development like you. I have read and watched a lot of things while researching to buy. Not that I have full authority on this, but I suggest you get a pro with m1 chip while you're at it. Of course, the mac you mentioned will also do the things you want well enough. However, the m1 chip is a fairly new and fast technology compared to the intel processor. If there is not a big price difference that you cannot afford, I suggest you go for the m1/m1 pro/m1 max chip. I'm just saying.

I think most developers would consider 8 GB of RAM too small. Try to get 16 GB at minimum, preferably 32 GB.

8 gb is enough if you not going to use Xcode and android studios in same time and if you not going to open more than 2 emulators
