Error installing tensorflow-macos

I am trying to install the base TensorFlow package via the instructions here. I am running a 14'' M1 Pro with Monterrey Version 12.1. From the guide, I am successful in every step up to running python -m pip install tensorflow-macos, at which point I encounter the following error:

ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement tensorflow-macos (from versions: none)
ERROR: No matching distribution found for tensorflow-macos

Not sure how to resolve this, any ideas?

  1. you must you Miniforge3 as stated in the guide, not the regular conda.
  2. if pip install do not works just install it with conda install instead
