Widgets developed using WidgetKit not visible in WidgetGallery of simulators on M1 chip MacBook Pro!

STRs:

  • Create a new demo application on M1 MacBook Pro.
  • Add WidgetExtension target to the application
  • Run the application.
  • Wait for it to launch
  • Minimise the app go to Widget Gallery you application is not visible there.

PS: Doing same steps on Intel based MacBook Pro gives the expected results.

Try switching the run target to the widget and run that. Your "Run the application" suggests you skipped this step.
