How long is it going to take to update my AirTag?

I have been following all the recommended procedures to update my AirTag to firmware version 1.0.276 but nothing seems to work. Anxiously playing the waiting game everyday wondering when it will update by itself over night. How do I update my AirTag to the newest firmware because I as well as many others are still waiting.

AirTag firmware has not updated by itself over night and is still on firmware 1.0.225.

Keep it in close range of your iPhone. Will update by itself.
