I would like to stream WWDC sessions with a commentary (i.e. I would like to show WWDC recordings/streams on my personal stream on twitch.tv). Am I allowed to do that by default without the risk of a DMCA takedown? And if I'm not, is there a process I can go through that would allow me to do that?
Short answer is no, Apple doesn't allow that. Apple in 2015 has threatened to take legal action against another individual (AltConf) who streams WWDC every year who receives thousands of viewers. Will anything happen to you if you commentated WWDC? Probably not, but if you want to follow Apple's rules then I'd advise against it.
I know that commented Apple events get banned on YouTube, but you’re channel and you probably won’t get any consequences.
