Still cannot connect an external monitor after upgrading to Big Sur using a USB-C to DisplayPort cable.

I've combed the web far and wide but have seen no solutions to this specific issue on Big Sur 11.2.3.

My job is very hard to do without an external monitor 😅

This is really pissing me off for while already, been searching for a fix since updating to the first Big Sur release - and still not a single official announcement from apple that they f*&*ed up and are sorry, not even trying to fix it, all the recent updates are useless - external monitor still isn't working. Thb, I've spent about 100eur trying out the original hubs and cables from local apple distributors - vainly.
Deeply disappointed with the attitude that apple has over the people who buy their products for a sh**t hole of money. Thinking about selling my 2017 13-inch MacBook Pro and switch over to thinkpad or smth similar, shame but i've got no other choice.
