Play MIDI sequence from AUV3 plugin and record the MIDI output in DAW

Hello,
As above, I can play a MIDI sequence in my plugin using various examples scrounged from the internet, is it possible to record the MIDI notes in a DAW? Alternatively, can the piano keyboard in GarageBand provided to the AUV3 plugin be automated?
Is there a forum somewhere that specialises in AUV3 development?

"various examples scrounged from the internet" use a wide variety of techniques, many wrong.

Show how your AUv3 audio unit is playing the MIDI sequence and we can answer.

I don't see a AUv3 forum. People crosspost anyway. Also check Core Audio.
