Razer Synapse 2.0 not working M1 Mac

Hey guys, I just upgraded from an XPS 13 to an M1 MacBook.

I was hooking everything up and then installed Razer Synapse 2.0.

AT FIRST it detected everything, but cannot change the RGB settings or keybinds. Then eventually stopped working altogether. I do noticed that in the status bar on top, the Razer icon does appear and it shows all of my peripherals as well a the profiles.

So Synapse detects them, just won't work. I looked at my fiancé's MacBook and compared the two. Everything works on her MacBook. I then found the difference.

I noticed in System Preferences >Security & Privacy >Privacy >Input Monitoring, it is missing RzDeviceEngine.

Is there any way I can add that? I tried hitting the + | - and not sure how to add it to the list since I found the .plist but it needs to be a .app.

I had your same problem even before switching to M1. I have been using Razer products for 4 years and before Big Sur. Then, after Big Sur update, Synapse stopped working, same with M1.

the problem is not Apple, the problem is Razer that is not giving a...(you know) to his Mac users. Synapse has not been upgraded for years, and that’s a problem.

my solution? I had to stop using Razer products and switched to Logitech, which is a serious company that take care of various users.

@OP id do a full uninstall. I had the same problem but Synapse only detected it on initial launch and I wasn't able to do anything. I Force closed, and it was gone for ever but showed it when I right clicked on the icon in the taskbar. I ended up doing a full uninstall through finder / applications / Razer uninstall or something like that. Then I found a GitHub that gave me the option to finally change the colors and thats all I cared about.

Steermouse app solved the problem for me! :) It recognizes my Tartarus V2 and let me program all the buttons
