Xcode 12.3 on 2012 MacBook Air

Will 12.3 version of Xcode run properly on a mid-2012 MacBook Air machine?
Following are specifications of my Mac machine:
  1. MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2012)

  2. Processor: 1.7Ghz Dual-Core Intel Core i5.

  3. Memory: 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3.

  4. OS: macOS Catalina (10.15.2).

Will I able to work on Xcode 12.x. latest version if I install it on my above mentioned Mac machine? Please share your opinion or experiences. Apple developer experiences, opinions, suggestions are more than welcome.

I didn’t succed in downloading XCODE 12.3 to my Mc Book Air 2012. Although it has 24GB free disk space I got the message “not enough space availabe”. The download doesn’t even start. The message appears immediately after pressing the download button. My Mc Book runs McOS 10.15.7 and has 8GB DD-RAM.
The previous XCODE version runs without problems but does just support iOS 13 SDK and emulaters.

24 GB disk space is way too limited.
You need at least 40 GB and maybe 50.

Last version on 10.15.2 is Xcode 11.7
But you may upgrade to a more recent version of Catalina to support latest Xcode.
However 4GB RAM is not enough to run Xcode. You would need a minimum of 8GB and that could be a bit slow. Better is 16 GB.
How much disk space available ? Need at least 40 GB to install.
