iOS 14.2 app extension (notification service) not launching

Hi,

since iOS 14.2 my notification service extension is no longer loading:

Code Block Error was encountered trying to find service extension: error=Error Domain=UNErrorDomain Code=1904 "Unknown application" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Unknown application}

it works fine on all earlier versions. Has anyone else experienced similar?

I had the same and spent a few hours. Try to reboot your device.

I believe we are experiencing this also, on some devices. Digging in more and will report. The issue may go away by enabling a background mode.

I'm experiencing the same problem when update the contain app, extension not work until reboot device.
did you fixed the issue?

i meet the same problem , but my customers cannot aceept errors like that needing to reboot their phone
