Big Sur - Windows out of screen when connecting to external display

Hi,

I'm having issue after upgrading to the Big Sur version when I connect my MB PRO 16 2019 to the external display then all windows on the external display are out of screen and I have to turn on and off Mirror displays option on System Preferences and then it's ok.

Any idea why is that or how to fix permanently?

Hi,

Have you found the solutions? Here is what worked for me, I having the same issue as you, been googling everywhere but couldn't find the right answer.

Step:

Go to "Displays"
Select "Arrangement" tab
[IMPORTANT] You must drag the external monitor arrangement to left or right, depending on your current arrangement.
Start to organise your application in the order that you wanted.
Unplug the monitor and plug it back.
Voila! all windows should stays at its correct position on the screen.
Now, you can repeat step 3 to your original arrangement.

Hello!

I resolve my problem with menus as well, this way:

Go to "Displays" ("Telas", in PT-BR)
Choose the main screen and change "resolution".
Change back.
Voilá! The windows AND the menus come back to their correct position.
