My external monitor does not wake up after installing Big Sur

I use two external monitors with my MacBook Pro. After I installed Big Sur one of the monitors stopped displaying unless I rebooted. The content is still there but I can't see it or access it....unless I reboot. If I leave the room for any time I'm screwed. How do I fix this?

That is only a partial workaround. Did you try to set Energy saver (in system preferences) to Never ?

I too am experiencing this issue.

it's not a monitor or a cable problem, already checked with hp running windows

this has been occurring for months now, i've read posts about it on reddit from months ago during beta

this is a Big Sur 100% issue
