Airpods Pro sound quality Extremely Poor or Muffled on MacOS Big Sur

Hi, I recently got new airpods pro .

It works fine on my iPhone 8 (iOS 14)
but when I use it on my macbook air (macOS 11) the sound quality gets really really poor after several minutes.

Is this a known macOS big sur bug?
Or is something wrong with my new Airpods Pro?

Hi, I'm using AirPods Pro too all day long developing or during skype calls. I've notice that when I put my music back on after a call I get it with kind of lo-fi effect.

To get the high quality back I go to Settings > Sound > Input, I switch to the MacBook Pro internal speakers and back to AirPods.

I think it's related to the new AirPods auto-switch feature. It will be fixed soon I suppose.

Same Issue with the sony XM3 headphones and a macbook pro 16" Big Sur

The switch between the internal speakers and back to the headphones do not work for me

Same issue here! It happens when i use earpods mic + speakers in MS Teams calls. If i use earpods speakers but internal mic - the sound is fine. I believe this is not Apple problem but Microsoft ;) But this really sucks!!!
