Big Sur upgrade error: Cisco system extension blocked

I just upgraded from Catalina and started getting an error saying "Cisco system extension blocked". But the option to "allow" it in the Security & Privacy menu (System preference) is not even available. I didn't have this issue when I upgraded it to Catalina. What is missing?

Same here! And I can't find how to stop the Cisco app from loading upon startup, even though I have that turned off--so the extension blocked window keeps popping up.
Same here and I’m a college professor and can’t access the internet on campus. This is a serious issue that needs to be fixed ASAP. I can’t use zoom with my students

Update Cisco to the latest version. The "Allow" button appeared in preferences after the update.
I got the same message. Noticed some people on the forum saying to update Cisco Annyconnect... verified that I have the latest version. Still getting the same message. HOWEVER, VPN is working fine. I encourage to check that you have the latest version and give it a try
I personally did not need the extension. Found a MIT link that showed how to remove, but for some reason I cannot post the link here, so the steps are below. I only did the uninstall and the prompt was removed. I'd assume you'd be able to re-download the application if you needed.

Note:
There is a downloader script in inside /opt/cisco/vpn/bin , so you may be able to re-download it using that.

To remove manually:

If you still having trouble and/or the new Cisco Anyconnect installation complains that you have a version installed, follow these steps:
Enter these commands to clean out the old Cisco VPN kernel extension and reboot the system.

rm -rf /Library/StartupItems/CiscoVPN
rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/CiscoVPN.kext

rm -rf /Library/Receipts/vpnclient-startup.pkg
reboot


If you installed the Cisco VPN for Mac version 4.1.08005 package, enter these commands to delete the misplaced files. The deletion of these files will not affect your system, since applications do not use these misplaced files in their current location.

Upgraded to Big Sur 11.2.2 and still have the same issue.

No, this is not an April Fool.
I have just updated from Catalina to Big Sur v11.2.3.
I keep getting the dreaded Cisco System Extension Blocked on startup.
I have deleted (uninstalled) the software and have followed the instructions for checking System Prefs > Security and Privacy.
Cisco is not there. My dialog box looks much different than shown in the alert window. There is no "allow".
same problem here (the dreaded Cisco System Extension Blocked on startup.) and I don't even have a Cisco AnyConnect to update in the first place (as far as I know). Just got the new OS11.2.3. Does this affect bluetooth connections?
