MacOS Big Sur Lagging

Hello! Help please, after updating the system to Big Sur, my MacBook Pro 13 began to slow down, previously there were no such problems.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)
2,7 GHz 2‑core processor Intel Core i5
8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB
Same here Macbook pro retina 13 inch late 2015

Very big difference on performance. Boot time at about 1 minute and slow response on opening apps.
Is this Apple's marketing strategy for us to buy new one?
Any news with new update of Big Sur 11.1?

I reinstalled Catalina on my map 16''... Can I upgrade now?
Same issue on my i5 late 2020 13 inch mbp.

If any low level Apple staffer is reading this, please elevate this issue.
Performance on my nearly $2000 machine is FVCKING PATHETIC. I didn't pay this much for my computer to operate like a 5 year old android from Huawei. I have resetted SMC, NVRAM, reset the computer, re installed macOS, etc all without any effect on the persistent lag.
YUP BIG SUR is a definite FAIL. What I don't understand is how they could release such a slow and lagg version of it... Did they have anyone actually test it?
Terrible, incredible lag not only on boot, but also in launching programs as well as in-program operation...

MacBook Pro (16inch, Late 2019)
  • 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9

  • 64GB 2667 MHz DDR4

  • Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

I'm experiencing slow performance when typing.
The lag is immediately obvious after the installation of macOS Big Sur version 11.1

I searched the web and found this forum, therefore I registered my account to post and complain about the issue.

Hello! Help please, after updating the system to macOS Big Sur, my MacBook Air began to slow down, previously there were no such problems.

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2018)
1,6 GHz Dual‑Core Intel Core i5
8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Intel UHD Graphics 617 1536 MB
Same problem here. Really slow after upgraded to Big Sur 11, 11.0.1. Finally fallback to Catalina, Apple please fix this problem.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014)
Processor: 2.8 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
Memory: 16 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3
Graphics: Intel Iris 1536MB
Same problem here. Apple did you think this before?
I am really dissapointed by the way Apple managing this situation...
I rolled back to Cataline. Bug Sur is like Windows Vista
Short answer: search "Chrome is bad" and follow the steps.
Doing the procedure literally solved the situation, since resetting SMC and VRAM and reinstalling Mac OS did little to nothing.
Same problem here. Just wretchedly slow.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)
  1. GHz Dual-core Intel core i5

8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
I had the same issue with MacBook Pro 15” 2016 after upgrading from Mojave (intentionally skipped Catalina) to Big Sur. Everything was lagging (Finder, iStat Menus, video playback, web browsing, etc.) until I reset the SMC. It works.
Same issue here. Turning off automatic graphics switching and SMC reset did not help.
