NAT64 network sharing broken on iOS14/Catalina

To test my own apps on an IPv6 network, I usually share a WiFi network using the option-click method in Sharing menu. This enables me to create a nat64 network.

However, since my upgrade to iOS14 and Mac OS Catalina, this network is no longer giving me access to the internet. With an iOS13 device it does work.

The behavior I see is that I get 2 IPv6 addresses, and a link-local IPv4 address. After connecting, iOS at some points prompts that this network has no connectivity and asks me if I want to stay connected.

I found a related thread on the chinese forum that seems to describe the exact same situation: https://discussionschinese.apple.com/thread/251973678

I wonder whether there are more developers who have run into this issue.
I have been able to reproduce a similar case (not exactly the same) within the last week as well. Please open a bug report on this and respond back with the Feedback ID.

Any resolution on this? I am also seeing this problem using ios 14.3 on an ipad air 3.
@Cougnes

I went and checked back on this bug this morning and could you provide a sysdiagnose from the iOS device and macOS device to perform further investigation? Please install the following profiles before you do so:
  • Network Diagnostics (iOS and macOS)

  • Wi-Fi (iOS and macOS)

  • mDNSResponder (iOS and macOS)

I met the same problem today. My Mac system is Big Sur 11.4 and my iOS version is 14.6. Without the NAT64 option the network works well.
