Initialization of vpnd plugin failed

So, Hi everyone! My Mac mini was a perfect vpn server for about [many] years, but after updating to Catalina and (in hope of a fix) to Big Sur beta, vpnd crashes with following output:

Code Block Loading plugin /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/PPPController.bundle/
Unable to load plugin (error = -1)
Initialization of vpnd plugin failed

Did anyone had/has same issue, or managed to fix it?

Same here, unfortunately, looks like vpnd on macOS is dead.

Any success, to make it work?

No luck so far. Seems like the L2TP plugin itself has some kind of bug. Can't figure out what bug though. Tried to replace one with another from macOS 10.10. That is not a permanent solution — works for a couple of minutes then crashes. So, I guess, we have to wait for solution from Apple.
