Is the NearbyInteraction Framework available in watchOS?

As noted on the comparison page for Apple Watch - Series 6, the U1 chip (Ultra Wideband) is a feature of the Apple Watch - Series 6. The WWDC 2020 session, Meet Nearby Interaction, does imply that this functionality exists on devices with a U1 chip, though the NearbyInteraction framework appears unavailable in watchOS.

Can anyone confirm whether NearbyInteraction is available for watchOS?
NearbyInteraction is not available for watchOS 7.0, as noted in the developer documentation at https://developer.apple.com/documentation/nearbyinteraction.
dear Frameworks engineer.
can you advise if Apple intends to make the nearby framework available for watch OS.

if not, please explain why any developer should be excited by it. If it is only for usage by Apple internal products, then why bother providing an API?
Please file a Feedback with a feature request for this — and please post your FB[number] here in this thread afterwards.

We will do the same. Once it accumulates enough, Apple will eventually do it ;-)

Probably, they are already working on it and just not ready yet…

Kind regards ;-)

It's available now in watchOS 8.
