Obtaining a macOS Mojave image

Hi,

I have a colleague who's MacBook finally gave out. He bought a new one and the apple store said they can't load 10.14 on it. I suggested he purchase VMware Fusion and add a Mojave VM. The problem is VMWare no longer contains any OS images. Is there a URL where we can obtain the Mac OS Mojave install image ?

He needs Mojave for application compatibility reasons as some of the software he has is not available for later OS versions.

The provided method wouldn't be an image (whatever VMware does). A Google search for "macOS Mojave" (or other version) usually turns up a support page from Apple which has a Mac App Store link to the installer app. The app contains the createinstallmedia tool which can create the kind of image you're looking for.

Get mcOS Mojave doesn't work. It gives an Error when transferring to system preferences, software update.
