DTK Reboot loop

Hi, I just installed BigSur Beta 5 on my Mac mini with Apple Silicon and now it's in a reboot loop.

I hear the boot chime, the LED is white, 2 seconds later it goes orange, 10 seconds after that it flickers and goes back to the chime.

Does anyone know how to get past this, or is the machine now bricked?

Ok, I got past this error by reinstalling with the Apple Configurator, instructions here: https://developer.apple.com/download/universal/

@nthState Thank you! I was stuck in the same situation (endless rebooting) and using the Apple Configurator app to restore via an IPSW solved it.

i installed the latest update of Big Sur, my DTK is restarted no display or peripheral, only i do listen the starting sound again and agian.

i tried pluging in out and then press the power and plug it in but still rebooting

I'm curious what you do with Apple Configurator once you download the IPSW for the Big Sur Beta (UniversalMac11.0<hash>_Restore.ipsw in my case)?

Do you need to connect the machines with a particular cable?

I have the same issue, tried with Apple Configurator 2 not working! Orange led still blinks.

I'm having the same problem. Downloaded the configurator and plugged in from my MacBook Pro to the DTK through USB-C, but just the chimes. It never shows up as a device in the configurator.

Also, the keyboard doesn't seem to be giving any interrupts to the computer. There is no response to Command-R while rebooting. It is as if the keyboard (USB-A) was not plugged in.

I've unplugged the box for now.

I'm also having this problem after kicking off an update to the latest Beta — the DTK chimes and reboots infinitely. I'm trying to follow the instructions at https://download.developer.apple.com/Documentation/Universal_App_Quick_Start_Program_Resources/Restoring_Developer_Transition_Kit.pdf but it's totally unclear where to obtain the IPSW for the latest Big Sur Beta, the instructions seem to simply assume that the file was previously downloaded or is available from https://developer.apple.com/download/, which is not the case AFAICT

I also experienced Apple Configurator 2 failure.
Already I prepared DTK to be in "DFU" mode (checked LED turned orange).
After I connect DTK with USB-to-C Cable (iMac - DTK Mac mini),
Apple Configurator 2 does not show any device(supposed to be the DTK device) but show 'Apple Controller' (State Booted, I guess, it is the cable)...
So, although I put 'UniversalMac11.020A5395g_Restore.ipsw' file to Apple controller and push 'restore' button, it fails withe the message.
The System cannot be restored on this device.
Can't restore device in this state - please reboot into Recovery orDFU..

I think the problem is 'Apple Configurator 2' cannot acknowledge the DTK device even though it turned to DFU...
How can I checked if the DTK device in DFU mode?
I checked with the LED color (orange : DFU mode), right?
or Is this issue originated from the cable??

I hope to know....
