Why doesn’t my Magic Keyboard Tab through Playgrounds Code Completion choices

I am following Jonathan Penn’s demo at WWDC2019 where he tabs through code completion choices with the external iPad keyboard.
The difference is that this does not work with the Magic Keyboard on my 2020 iPad Pro 11” - the Tab key has no effect whatsoever on the Playground page whilst I am coding. I have to tap on the code completion to choose it.
I can’t see any setting that I need to make but cant believe this is what it supposed to happen.

  • Using IOS 15.2 iPad Pro 4th gen - Magic Keyboard HW 0009 -FW 0241.0526.0200 in 2022 and have similar problems solving Playgrounds for SWIFT5.3 in Playgrounds 4.0 . Sometimes the Magic Keyboard stops responding overall. Sometimes only the recommendation bar to complete commands and dot notations disappears .. the only way to reactivate it is to close SWIFT playground and restart the app ..

@Okrahn Hi, I am also encountering the same problem now... The solution actually does not require restarting the playground app. You can switch to the previous chapter and then switch back to solve it. Of course, you can also open tutorials, documents, and other places where you can enter search results, and then return to restore them.
