DTK pairing to bluetooth keyboard and mouse

I just received the DTK. It doesn't seem to automatically pair with my keyboard and mouse. Any ideas how I can get it to pair?

I just received it today and tried with a non Apple Bluetooth keyboard (TnB). It's clearly unusable even when we associate it.
For setup process I had to connect my old USB keyboard (for giving WIFI password). I suppose you will have to do the same (and beware if you don't use QWERTY keyboard, add your country in the setup).
Here's a bit of a roundabout way, but that works. But you'll def need a mouse/trackpad paired via lighting…

1 - Try to get to any text field (the earlier one is in Written and Spoken Languages > Customize Settings > Add (+) > User that search field)

2- Two-fingers click to show a menu. Then go to Substitutions > Show Substitutions > Text Preferences…

3 - A System Preferences window should open.

4 - From there you should know what to do.
