Will X Code be coming to the ipad Pro ?

I bought my iPad Pro to replace a computer and it misses a lot of the fundamental "pro" applications, i.e X Code. If future macs have the same processor as the iPad and they can run X Code I'm sure the iPad Pro can ? Swift Playground is very limiting in that I can't publish anything to the App store from it as I don't have a mac. So this leaves me asking, will X Code be coming to iPad Pro in the future ?

It is a bit too early to use an iPad to replace a Mac. It is not yet intended for this.

Will XCode come to iPad one day, one year ? Only Apple knows and won't probably tell.

SO, if you want to develop, you should find a decently recent Mac. iPad will be very useful as device to test your code.

Good luck.

Those that know, don't talk - Those that talk, don't know ;)

Apple, as a routine, prefers handwriting on the wall vs. public declaration when it comes to future plans. This question also comes up as a routine, and nothing has changed since the last time it was asked, so...

In the mean time, be sure to stay limber via the Swift Playgrounds App for iPad, while letting Apple know of your desires with enhancement requests via the F & B Reporting link, below, being sure to add your report #(s) to your thread for reference, thanks and good luck.
Hey Alexander! If you have the beta of iPadOS14 downloaded, you can now install Xcode from https://developer.apple.com/download/

I would agree, since the processors are the same it will make sense - not to long into the future - to have full XCode on iPad. It would be so great especially with the Magic Keyboard.

so, please Apple, do it. do it now.
