Is there a scribble gesture for new line/return?
Press and hold where you want to return to go. Two gray highlights will appear.
Once the gray highlights disappear, hit the undo button and returns will be inserted.
I put in a feature request for a scribble new line gesture, as many of you have. Hoping Apple implements this modest and essential feature.
With some experimentation I got hard line breaks using scribble in pages.
All you have to do is to start writing further down the page and hey presto a hard break is made before the text.
Simples 👍
Please do submit a gesture request/since this is so old I hope you did. I have submitted feedback about it. Return/new line is a mainstay of my note taking and writing
OMG, please add this feature - Pencil is practically useless for writing without the ability to do a new-line. #FAIL …because, as-is, it forces one to switch back and forth between writing and typing.
BTW, Even my 1998 Palm Pilot could do this basic scribble!
your solution is terrible. Sorry. A simplest one should be by crossing an empty space with a line and then you have a line break. So the first one, as it already is, make a space and the second (over the empty space) breaks the line. ;)
YES!, please add this feature. there are MANY situations where an app not expecting pen input can accept multiple lines. I would love to be able to use the apple pencil and scribble to enter text via scribble in these situations
for example - entering text in markdown (in obsidian) or replying to a slack message, [or even entering a post in a developer.apple.com forum!]
Write far down below
Write at the bottom of the screen. Make sure active curser is at the top of the screen or text box.
note this only works in large areas work spaces small text boxS don't space to trigger the response
Please develop this feature
