IOS 14 WiFi

Anyone experiencing issues with IOS 14 and wifi connectivity?
Also having issue with Wifi. Tried removing the private address and rejoin network like someone else suggested, didn't work for me. Ive been just having to constantly switch from wifi to network and hope that one will eventually do something.
Same here. Most of the apps do
not connect via WIFI, but LTE.

Network Reset and closing private address did not fix.

Lastly, I changed the DNS to manual and used 8.8.4.4 and it is working for me now.
I am having issues as well. I had to reset the network settings. It doesn’t work because the private address button reverts itself back when you do that. I also noticed it reverts back by itself. Had it off for 2 hours. Double checked and it was turned back on. Really poor job with that setting. People warned about it when iOS14 was announced. Been on the phone or texting Apple care for the past couple hours. No luck
Constantly! I have to reboot, forget the network, toggle on airplane mode, reconnect to the network and THEN it works. But, if the phone is idle for any period of time I have to go through the same crap all over again. Horrid.
I am not willing to do all this troubleshooting for Apple. I already restored my iPad and set it up as new with no success in fixing the problem. The only fix or bandaid is to toggle Airplane mode. I feel this is Apple responsibility to fix. Not mine, the customer.
I am having a lot of issues with WiFi and regret updating because of it. It’s not like we got a ton of new features that Android hasn’t already had out for years. When is it getting fixed?

At first, I thought it was my internet service, but it works fine on my computer and other devices with no issues. I have to turn the WiFi off many times and just use my cell service, which is super annoying because I don’t get good reception where I am and need WiFi for the data to work. It is extremely inconvenient that this phone that costs more than a computer is not working as it should, less than a year out because of an update.

That’s a downgrade, in my humble but accurate opinion. Please fix it!
me and my family surely going to ditch all the apple products tht we are currently using just because of this issue nd from nxt time ill go for any android phone rather thn apple products ,ios is getting worse day by day

How to Fix iOS 14 Wi-Fi problems

Step 1: The first thing you should do is check for and install any available updates to iOS or iPadOS.

.... #facepalm
I fixed this by DELETING (not just disabling) a VPN connection I had that iOS was attempting to use.
The VPN Thing doesn't do anything.. I have no VPN profile. I have setup my iPad as new with a freshly restored DFU copy of iOS14 which still looses connectivity.
My Iphone 7 just has a greyed out wifi, i did a fresh install, reinstalled ios, black magic, and everything i could do to fix it, yet, nothing... IOS 14.0.1 is problematic and garbage.
Yeah just got told to update to 14.0.1 by my company (it's a work phone). Wifi icon at the top kept disappearing after a couple of seconds of rebooting.

I did a reset of the Network Settings and it (so far) has fixed the issue.

Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings

Give that a go.
Yeah... it’s getting very annoying. Although In my phone wifi icon never disappears connection is a such a mess. Loading a page takes too long, whatsapp losing connectio, home app can not find the tools sometimes etc. hope we get fix soon (14.0.1/11 pro max)
Same issue with other im experiencing wifi issue . I thought it was my internet connection but i tried with other wifi its still the same . Fixed this apple (ios14.0.1) (iphone 11)
I had the same issue this morning. Updated to IOS 14.0.1 on my Iphone 6s and can't use the wifi even though the icon was on. Called Apple for support and nothing can be done.

Later I watched a video online and that trick works on my phone : click to the blue! icon on the wi-fi, then turn off the private address. Waited couple of minutes afterwards, then I was able to use my wifi as usual. Hope it helps!
