Network Extension for tvOS?

Hello,

Another WWDC and sadly still no Network Extension support for tvOS yet. 😞

Are there any plans to bring this over, for like VPNs? I had that radar closed long ago as a duplicate.

Wow, that’s possibly the longest duplicate chain I’ve ever seen in Radar (-:

I eventually found the bug we’re using to track this (r. 23010398) and, alas, there’s really not much I can say here. This feature has been requested by a bunch of people but it’s not in the tvOS we just seeded and I can’t talk about anything beyond that.

Sorry I don’t have better news.

Thank you very much for looking into it. We were asked by one of the engineers in the Network Extension team (from a lab) to post about it here. I hope we can see this framework become available in a future tvOS release :-)
