This looks like a really fun & powerful feature!

Is it possible to use the new Nearby Interaction between devices owned by the same user? If so, is it possible for the user to grant permanent permission for us to do this instead of repeatedly at the beginning of every session?

Yes, it is possible for Nearby Interaction sessions between devices owned by the same user.

Permissions remain in effect until your app is exited.
