Hi, did anyone notice that you cant launch zoom after updating to macOS Big Sur ?
MacOS Big Sur
I'm on Big Sur Preview 1, and I successfully launched Zoom. However, Zoom is definitely glitched when open. The window has no shadow around the borders and all icons are missing. (I can't believe the new forums don't have image uploading.)
Like gjsieben, I was able to launch. Bit of a hodge-podge of what icons were visible. None of the participant icons showed (yes/no hands.) My video icon was present, but not my audio. Adding virtual background button not visible but clickable if you remember where it's located!
Some third-party software may need to be updated to support Big Sur. Part of the reason for these beta builds are so that developers can identify issues like these.
We'd appreciate it if you submitted a bug report via Feedback Assistant: https://developer.apple.com/bug-reporting/. Compatibility with existing applications is important to us, and we'd definitely like to examine this issue in more detail to understand what is preventing Zoom from working. Please include details on the last macOS version where Zoom was working for you and any steps you've taken to try to resolve the issue yourself (such as reinstalling Zoom).
Just adding here -- MacBook Pro 2017. I have been using Zoom all day with no issues. It's a bit slower than usual opening the video window after the program starts, but no issues beyond with heavy load of screen sharing for me as host and users.
All the icons are missing as well as text on buttons, but if you just click where you are "supposed" to, it seems to work.
Zoom app starts successfully. I've been using a bluetooth headphones and Zoom took very long time (20-30 seconds) to actually launch / join a meeting. Otherwise, it works fine. There are glitches that others write about (icons, shadows), but it works. Do submit bug reports if it doesn't launch at all though.
My Zoom also has all icons missing and is very slow launching a meeting. It has also lost the ability to upload new background images or video.
I've had the same experience (wonky icon and general strange dialog visibility). My biggest issue is related to Bluetooth, for some reason, my headset is now really faint.
Hi, same issue here. a lot of problems with sounds on google meet through any bluetooth device.
It's somehow a night mare.
Additionally, listening to apple music allows for leaving from the computer only 3 meters, then it breaks up...

Zoom is working on my Big Sur OS, the problem is, it's taking 92% of my CPU resources that my mac is lagging. Is anyone have the same issue and solution?
Yeah, when launched, none of the buttons show up, I can still click where they are supposed to be, but launching meetings are a NIGHTMARE! Even in a meeting, some buttons, like mute, don't show up and there are a lot of not responding.
I was experiencing the same issue so one things that came up to my mind was to restore the older version of zoom and I did and zoom worked no more latency or any issues. Here is the link for the older versions http:/zoom.en.uptodown.com/mac/versions
I just updated last night and had a few issues with Zoom this morning. My video lags and I have trouble toggling between tabs and minimizing and maximizing windows. I did a bit of researching others' issues and one person recommends turning the video off. Once I did this everything worked normally. Of course this is merely a bandaid, but it may help you get through a meeting or class. I have done as Majdinagi suggested and downloaded an older version of Zoom, but I'm not able to test this theory properly, as I will not have another class until tomorrow.
Is anyone using Safari and having Zoom-Big Sur issues? Or is it just the Chrome users?
I look forward to any of your comments or advice.
Cheers!

Just update your zoom app to the latest version and you're good to go.
