macOS Big Sur breaks Razer peripherals

For whatever reason, my Razer Huntsman keyboard does work for the most part but none of the audio controls do anything on the keyboard. In addition, I've tried two different razer mice and neither work at all. Everything worked perfectly before the beta.
Félicitation cela fonctionne parfaitement.
Ok, looks like WindowServer goes up to 100% when moving my Razer mouse around the screen, causing the whole Mac to slow down a lot. Using my Microsoft mouse only elevates it to 20%, which is still a hit, but not a lot to show a performance drop. Also, when moving the Razer mouse around, processes such as gamecontrollerd and com.apple.AppleHIDDriver show up taking a CPU hit. Not as much as WindowServer. These 2 extra processes don’t show up when moving the Microsoft mouse around. I think it has something to do with each mouses polling rate. 125Ηz vs 1000Hz in this case. But I can’t install the Synapse software to change the polling rate on the Razer and test it! I still have “Please authorise the kext through system preferences”, but there’s nothing on Security pane to allow.l, even after whitelisting the TeamID.
avaddons solutuion worked for me. Thank you a lot!
avaddons fix works! Make sure after you follow the instructions you disconnect and reconnect the devices, they will then be recognized.

Managed to get it working with avaddon's solution as well. Though my popup didn't have allow, it just had an Okay and after I pressed it, nothing changed.

Now I get:

"Extension with identifiers com.razer.common.razerhid not approved to load. Please approve using System Preferences."

For me the pop up said okay or open system preferences. You have to go into System Preferences, Security and Privacy, and click allow there for it to work.

thank you so much avaddons! you’re a lifesaver!! both my workflow and gaming highly depended on my mouse macros, so i was furious when big sur gave me the cold shoulder. thanks a million once again!! ;))
Hallo avaddon,

yes your way works. Great and thank you.

But in my case when I restart or power on my iMac and start up, the Synapse software does not see all my devices again and shows the message "please plug in a Synapse possible device".

I need all times to disconnect and reconnect the devices from the USB ports. Then Synapse works and shows all devices again.

But that is not the way to do this all day...

Is there a fix possible that Synapse works at all start up situations?

Regards
First it didn't work....(previous post)....but now I tried it a second time and....🥳
Works perfect !!!!
tnx
A huge thank you to avaddon and Potate1 for providing excellent instructions to solve this problem!
I've run in to this exact problem after installing (huge mistake) the new MacOS Big Sur. Only except I'm using the Razer Trinity.

Whilst I followed the guide from avaddon which helped 'detect' the mouse. It failed to let me adjust certain keyboard functions/keybinds. Non-responsive. So in reality, nothing had improved at all.

Can someone explain what: R2H967U7J8 referred to? Is this a particular ID belonging to a particular device?

Any ideas why I am unable to adjust the keys using the keyboard function?
Thank you so much, avaddon. It can work for me, even though my version is 1.87..
Thanks a lot @avaddon

It worked, I hope it keeps working.
Razer should add more support for macOS, but I seen on forums everywhere they won't.. so sad.
I have the same issue as @IoannisTzon. I did all that @avaddon suggested. Synapse was able to recognize devices. All seemed fine until I move my mouse around. WindowServer goes over 100% CPU usage, making my entire system lag like hell. When I launch World of Warcraft, the frame rates are terrible. It’s completely unplayable. When I unplug razer devices and use Magic Mouse it works like a charm and WindowServer doesn’t go above 20%. Please help. What must I do?

Hallo guys,

I am desperate.

At my first update from Catalina to Big Sur the procedure from @avaddon worked fine.

Because of other problems I had I decided me to make a complete fresh new installation to my iMac of Big Sur.

And now, I have the problem that the procedure from @avaddon does not work any more.

The registration of R2H967U7J8 in the Recovery Mode did work.

If I enter /usr/sbin/spctl kext-consent list I get the expected answer.

But after restart when I enter the command sudo kextload /Library/Extensions/RazerHid.kext I get all times this answer:

Extension with identifiers com.razer.common.razerhid not approved to load. Please approve using System Preferences.

And there is NOT coming the popup and Allow button in System Preferences.

The Synapse shows me all times the message, PLEASE CONNECT A RAZER SYNAPSE ENABLED DEVICE.

A restart of the computer and dis- and reconnecting of USB-Port does not help.

Any ideas what to do further?

Thanks and regards

I'm having the same problem as @StHaase and @spiritofhonour. Despite following @avaddon's solution correctly, there is no 'Allow' button for me in system preferences. I even went in Privacy and allowed RzUpdater and RzDeviceEngine access, yet Synapse 2 still won't detect my Basilisk mouse. Does anyone have a solution for this?
