Was wondering if I will be able to keep building iOS 14 apps while remaining in macOS Catalina even after macOS Big Sur goes public, and if so, for how long?

Xcode 12 requires macOS 10.15.4 or later, see the release notes for details: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode-release-notes/xcode-12-beta-release-notes

I can't make promises about future releases but for the past several years Xcode has supported running on the latest software update for the previous macOS along with the most recent major release.

I don't know the answer to this question but I am on macOS Big Sur beta right now and I am LOVING the beta. It is a bit different but I am loving the redesign.
