MacOS 10.16

I need a YES or NO answer, will 10.16 work on a 2012 MacBook Pro?

No, according to this page: https://www.apple.com/macos/big-sur-preview/
Also it's 11.0, not 10.16.
Shoot....Thanks.
No, apparently we can spend thousands on their laptops, but 5-7 years later they stop supporting their equipment. Not everyone can buy a new MacBook every few years and my laptop now runs slow as hell.
5-7 years is actually an impressively long time for a product to be supported by new OS releases.
I hate that. My late 2012 MBP is a i7 and my other 2018 MBP is also an i7, both can do Catalina but not Big Sur?
