OpenGL end of life date (support still in iOS 14?)

Hi,
i would like to know if OpenGL will still be supported in iOS 14?
This info is needed to plan the migration activities accordingly.
Is there a link which could provide a concrete end of life date?

Did you find any info about it? I’m highly interested too.

You've had six years to plan migration activities accordingly. Another 3 weeks ain't gonna matter much. Just wait.

I find Metal completely unnecessary in my use case (building 2d game engine). It introduces lots of copcepts with extremely high price: now I have to develop and support 2 different renderers, instead of 1. This is extremely upsetting.

There are better things to do. Like writing games, not doing this unnecessary work.

I have a feeling that we will see at least some level of OpenGL support from Apple hardware into the far future. The reason I say this is that WebGL is a widely accepted standard and it is simply a subset of OpenGL ES. To support websites, the hardware would at least need to be able to translate this into Metal. The real question is if Apple will actually artificially stop peoples ability to submit apps to the AppStore which contain OpenGL. Flat out stopping though would break many apps people use on a regular basis. I would think from a consumer side, they would start to pop up warnings similar to how they did for 32-bit apps in the lead up to the cut off on MacOS. Just my two cents. I may be completely wrong.

Do we have any update on timelines till when apple is going to support openGL for iOS and can we submit new apps with openGL on iOS app store ?
